What We Do

At ContentMatters, we draw on decades of journalism experience at some of the best publications in the world to create sophisticated, exceptionally well-written content–equal to what is found in the New York Times or Wall Street Journal—for businesses and nonprofits. That includes creating content for websites, corporate intranets, communications materials, marketing initiatives, blogs, newsletters and annual reports. We’ve been telling the stories of businesses–in the most compelling ways–for 20 years.

Great content should be a key part of your business strategy.

Sharply written content–that provides valuable, interesting, readable content to your audience will differentiate your business and raise its visibility on the social web. We are especially good at taking complicated technology, devices, apps and services and making them understandable to a lay-audience.
Keep in mind that great content isn’t just great for businesses, it’s essential for a business to be found. Google’s last update to its search results ranking algorithm, known as Hummingbird, means that sites with high-quality, informative and engaging content are ranked higher in search results than sites with lower-quality or “thin” content. For a good explanation of what’s needed for SEO success on Google, here’s a quick guide from Search Engine Land. You’ll see that high-quality content is key. (Google also implemented a mobile-friendly ranking algorithm in April 2015.)
